The First NW Swell of the Season for So Cal
Southern California lit up this past week with a combination of two swells that came in form the North West Hemisphere. The first swell hit last Monday and brought some solid head high to a couple feet over head surf to the exposed beach breaks and reefs. (330 degree reading off the Torrey Pines Outer Buoy or 285 to 290 degree reading off the Mission Bay Buoy) The next swell hit on Wednesday and continued to bring head high plus sets to all of the exposed spots. Breaks were lighting up with solid 6ft-8ft set waves from HB in Orange County to Sunset Cliffs in Southern San Diego County.
